We greatly appreciate your support!
Build Our Future
Thank you for considering a gift to the Platte County Historical Society. Funding support helps us continue to preserve and teach young people and the young at heart the unique and significant history of Platte County.
Platte County Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization…
When making donations to the Platte County Historical Society, remember the tax advantages of gifts of value-appreciated stock, securities, or commodities as well as the bequest of new or existing life insurance policies. Farmers in Platte County and elsewhere can realize possible savings by contributing commodities such as corn and cattle in lieu of a cash contribution upon selling the commodity. Consult a tax advisor to determine if a commodity donation is appropriate to your tax situation.
Updating Your Will with a Codicil
If you are simply adding a gift in favor of the “Platte County Historical Society” to an existing Will—this can be done by using a ‘Codicil’. A ‘Codicil’ need not change the terms of your current Will, it can simply add a new instruction. If you wish to make other changes at the time, it may be best to have the Will rewritten to include all your changes in a new document. Click the button below to download a PCHS Codicil Form.
Memorials and Honorariums
PCHS donation is a wonderful and meaningful way to honor the memory of a loved one or celebrate milestones such as birthdays, anniversaries, or achievements. Gifts can be general contributions or designated for a special project. Generations of families have played an impactful role in the ongoing story of Platte County. Recognize your family’s past and future presence through your donations.
In what way will you build our future?
