Stevenson’s Creamery

1926
| 1264 26th Avenue
| Columbus, NE

In 1924 Tom Adams sold the Clothier House Hotel, retired for 2 years, then bought and remodeled the building to open Adams Cafe.

After Tom Adams’ death in 1941, Adams Cafe was run by son Horatio and daughter Marcia. The building was sold in 1957 to Robert and Rose Braun which allowed Bob’s TV and Appliance to relocate from Meridian Hotel to this new location.

In 2022, the old Adam’s Cafe is better known as Tapestries Vintage, but the original signage is still visible above the canopy. Inside Tapestries, you will find vintage clothes, housewares, art and so much more! Expect the unexpected when you step into this historic gem.
